If you are looking for a liberal arts introduction to the history, culture and mind set of the Flemish people and the area around Brugges, this is the tour for you. Phillipe was my tour leader and he did a spectacular job of describing all of the wonders that are contained in and around Brugges and West Flanders. You have... more

We would like to thank Quasimodo Tours for the sensitive way in which we were told about the terrible conditions those brave men fought in WWI. ANZAC DAY in Australia will mean so much more as we remember MENIN GATE and the many grave sites and the war that brought men together from far places in the world. LEST WE... more

My daughter and I found the battlefield tour an interesting and thought provoking tour. It was presented in a professional and informative way, backed with literature and photographs for comparison. The background information, both historical and topical, made us reflect on the implications of the local community as well as the combatants. The company was very helpful and relaxed, making... more

I am not much of a WWI history buff, but highly enjoyed the tour of the Flanders Fields with Quasimodo Tours. The tour was about 8 hours (9-5) and included lunch. I went with Sharon, who was is a fantastic historian! Sharon has lots of great facts that she covers and does a wonderful job at presenting the information. Unfortunately,... more

Fantastic! Our guide was very knowledgeable not only about Brugge, but also every country the people on the tour were from. That made it easier when he compared things for us. Also the guide's english had clarity, strong speaker, and was very easy to understand. The guide appeared to be very passionate, really enjoyed showing us around. The waffles, beer... more

This tour of key locations from the WWI battle of Ypres is absolutely professional in every aspect of its execution. After a morning minibus pick-up, our personable and extremely well-informed guide (Sharon) drove us to monuments, cemeteries, museums, the Menin Gate and preserved battlefields and trenches, providing an insightful and illuminating commentary every step of the way. Of special note... more

On our visit to Bruge, Belgium in September 2008 we experienced the Flanders Field Tour with Quasimodo Tours. Phillipe collected us from our accommodation place and dropped us off at a pick up area where we boarded a mini bus to be driven by his wife Sharon. Sharon conducted the tour with great compassion and her wealth of information was... more

My first time on a tandem bicycle was on this tour- it was terrifying at first and then great fun. My husband and I each rode with a child and my parents rode their own bikes. We all enjoyed the tour and it was interesting to see parts of Bruges we wouldn't have seen just walking around! If you are... more

Took a day out of our family trip to Bruges to travel with Quasimodo Tours to do their Flanders Field tour. We were picked up at our hotel and Philippe picked us up in the square with the Quasimodo minibus. Only 19 in the tour including my husband, myself and our two children (ages 12 and 10). The tour was... more

Myself, daughter (19) & son (16) did the Flanders Fields Tour 16/04/09. Phillipe was was fantastic guide, very knowledgable and great company. We found the whole day really interesting and informative. It was also very moving. When you realised the enormity of the task under the horrendous conditions and the ultimate massive loss of life, it really does make you... more
