I loved this church - I felt very spiritual in it. I am a Catholic so maybe this meant more to me than some people, although my husband, who is not a Catholic and has many doubts about everything like that, also loved this church and said it had "a good feeling". There is obviously something about it that conveys... more

Many of you might doubt it, but you get to see Jesus's blood here! How cool is that. It's only shown between 14.00-15.00 though, so get there early if you are planning to see it! more

As far as medieval churches, this building is lacking. There is a small museum. The basilica is decorated, clearly a modern restoration. There are bright colors everywhere. The real reason to come is for veneration of the Holy Blood. Veneration is at different times daily and is posted on the door of the Basilica. Be on time, as it seems... more
