Why only 4 stars instead of 5. Well it's just the size of the site. It's not very big but it nice nevertheless and worthwhile going though. We're just spoiled by seeing massive one's abroad so you automatically compare. Nice thoug, do pay it a visit. More

An interesting museum, although very ‘school party’ orientated. The surprise was the catering: exceptional and thoughtful food at a very good price. Nice selection of beverages, home made cakes… hard to fault in this area. Very helpful, friendly, attentive staff who really want to make a difference. Top marks. More

I cannot recommend this enough. It has to be one of the best Roman sites I have ever seen. Friendly volunteers to ask questions of and if they have time they will even walk round with you. Such information! I did not even realize there was a Roman influence on the I.O.W. A section of hands on for children (and... More

The Roman Villa visitor centre is really well set up with a recommended route to follow giving you a good view of all the significant points. The main part of the centre is very open, so you get a sense of the size and layout of the whole villa, and you view all the wonderful mosaics and things from raised... More

Who would have thought that the "Emporer of England" would have chosen the Isle of Wioght for his Villa! An interesting Roman archeological site, well presented in a purpose built visitor centre. Well worth a visit if you are interested in ancient English History. More

You wouldn't think there would be much to do here, as the ruins themselves don't cover a large area. However, they have made this a place where you can lose yourself for hours. There is plenty of information and activities inside the room with the ruins to keep children happy. They can also dress up in costumes and explore the... More

We stopped by at the Roman villa with our 9 yr old. We all found it very interesting, with the staff very knowledgeable and helpful, particularly the man who did the "talks" inside the ruins. Our son thought it was great fun putting together the floor mosaic with some other children and learning about how the villa ruins were discovered.... More

We visited Brading Roman Villa with our three young children and had a fantastic couple of hours viewing the beautiful mosaics and learning about the Romans. There was so much to do for the kids, and they loved doing the interactive exhibits. More
