Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Located in one of the side streets that lead into the Old Town Square is Gran Via Tapas Bar ,a bar I always look forward to visiting on any holiday I take to this sun drenched resort.
This bar looks cool, eclectic decor and furnishings, vintage records adorning the walls, a solid wood serving bar and plenty of seating options spread throughout this bar both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling street that Gran Via Tapas Bar is located on.
We were here on a Saturday night, this bar was rammed, we got bottles of Sagres beer, served iced cold and sparkling, we just chilled out and took in the great bar we were in.
My beer was exceptional, Sagres beer is such a light, hoppy and unpretentious beer bursting with taste, very easy to drink, a beer perfect for the hot climate you get in the Algarve.
Our group of 20 plus stayed here for about an hour or so ,enjoyed a couple of drinks each before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time.
Gran Via Tapa Bar is easy to locate along Rua Alves Correia, in an area teeming with pubs, bars and restaurants.
Opening hours are;
Monday to Saturday, 1pm till 2am.
Sunday, Closed.
A great bar, well worth checking out if your in the area.

This little tapas bar is neatly tucked away down a side street away from the hustle and bustle of Albufeira - which makes for a nice ambiance.

As recommended by others, the Sangria was very nice. The staff were also friendly and nice too.

The food was actually very reasonable however this price was reflective of the inexpensive ingredients and low effort dishes.

If you go here expecting rich, flavourful, authentic tapas you will be disappointed. If you go remembering you are in Albufeira, I am sure you will enjoy it.

First off staff were friendly and gave good service, but I don’t think the food was up to standard at all. With Spain next door to Portugal I was expecting amazing tapas, but it was all drenched in sauce and oil. Tasty and cheap but nothing at all like Spanish tapas. I wouldn’t visit again

Every single thing was unreal, so so tasty, what shocked us the most was the price for what we got... Unreal value for money... if in old town you've got to try this tapas.. It's delish 😋😋

Went here as we were fancying tapas. Had a nice table outside in the busy street. Were greeted by a friendly waiter, who was a real joker. Nice atmosphere in restaurant and reasonable value.

Tapas choices were limited if you didn’t choose cold meat. Average meal but not likely to return.

Was in the mood for proper Spanish tapas and came across this place through google / trip advisor. Tried calling in advance but didn’t get an answer so just braved it and turned up. Ended up having to sit inside but kinda glad that we did as we ordered so much food the tables were big enough to not feel cramped. Everything was amazing, the mini burgers with the caramelised onion are outstanding, as was the pork with green peppers and Brie .. highly recommend both dishes. A great find, glad we wen
