We chose the 2 hour trip in a traditional fishing boat -20 euro pp. Cruised the Ria Formosa waterways with a very knowlegeable skipper.Even time for a picnic lunch on a deserted stretch of beach half way through the trip. Thoroughly enjoyed the trip and would repeat the experience if we go to Faro again. More

Theres something about being out on the water in a small boat in a sheltered waterway that is very soothing - especially for a busy tourist. I did enjoy the tour and learning about the local flora and fauna but mostly just loved our little blue boat. The skipper did a good job but if you especially want the expert... More

I loved this tour. I was a little unsure because of the price at first, but it was totally worth it. We didn't pay the extra 5 euro for a guide, but the skipper knew plenty. We got two hours in the Ria Formosa reserve with a bird ID card for common birds, a guidebook for rare birds and two... More

Ria Formosa offers a wide range of experiences to live, see and feel. The traditional boat tour is fantastic since you have the possibility to choose between short tour (1h) or long one (2h) with a plus of the possibility of doing a guided nature tour with a small extra. The offer is great in this company so you can... More

This is a fabulous trip, well worth 20 €uros each. The boat is a quaint traditional fishing boat. Water was calm and smooth. Mark our "captain" was very knowledgeable about birds. We stopped off a Praia de Faro - a peninsula with the mst spectacular stretch of beach anywhere in the world I have seen. Wow......... I can only imagine... More

Formosamar offers tours of the Ria Formosa delta in small, traditional wooden fishing boats. I'm not sure how many seats there are in a boat, but I would be surprised if there were more than 8. This is a very personal and small-scale way of seeing this impressive nature reserve, and the guides are happy to point out the many... More

Took the trip out through the islands spotting birds to the tip of the peninsular where the lagoon meets the Atlantic. Fantastic trip with very knowledgeable guide. He even braved getting the boat stuck so we could have a closer look at a flock of Flamingos. The time spent on the beach was an added bonus...take your swimming gear for... More

THE WALLS OF THE OLD CITY with Formosamar, Faro marina. 10e/ per person, 45 min in Ria Formosa. Very quiet but interesting trip in Faro ria.Better done with falling tide as one can better see the islands which protect the harbor and gatherers of shellfish at work. Good views of the city. Friendly guide. Suitable of all kind of people.Not... More
