This chapel is on the right, inside the main church. You have to buy a cheap ticket for entry. worth seeing just to say you've been there. More

Maybe there is something wrong with me but the actual chapel did not fill me with anything other than a passing interest and it looks -best on photos. I was however, very impressed with the hand-painted ceilings in anteroom leading into the garden. Note: Opening hours are not strictly kept - long lunches could account for late afternoon opening so... More

An interesting addition to a visit to the main church. Not really significant enough to warrant a trip on its own. Although the church itself s free, there is a €1 charge for the chapel ( fair enough). More

Little hard to find but worth the visit. Tiny chapel at the rear of a bigger church. Skeletal remains of over 1200 monks adorn the walls and ceiling. More

The "Bones Chapel" is situated in the lovely city of Évora, the capital city of the Alentejo region. There's no other like this in Portugal with bones of villagers from centurys ago displayed in the walls. Correction, they are the walls! A must see! More

Its a small chapel at the rear of the church which is itself worth a visit. The walls are entirely covered with the bones of 14t century monks. More

We went to Capela de Ossos with my international friends after 8 months staying in Faro :) We kind of didn't feel brave enough to see the place made of bones. I have to admit that it's very beautiful, and the story of the monks is great! Still it feels a bit strange to be in room totally covered with... More
