“Wonderful baroque”

This church is so picturesque. I am just disappointed it was always shut when I went by it (it is a little bit out of the way if you are walking, but only by about 15 minutes) More

its big, its beautiful and its like any other church. So if u r at Faro, do see it but dont expect anything special / different. More interesting is the small chapel (of bones) inside this church. More

Church of Carmo, belonging to the Thrid Order, inaugurated in 1713 by the Bishop D. Antonio da Silva, is owe to the the Carmelita archited, frior Manuel da Conceição.This temple was a great work that marked the urban mail of this city.It reflected the hight economical and social status of the members of the Order.It topology is only one nave...
