A fascinating exhibition by a living Portuguese artist (she lived in England for a time in the fifties and studied at the Slade) takes up 7 rooms at this delightful museum and features studies she calls Mood and Humor. More

but I think she is probably one of our greatest living artists. Tremendously powerful and often unsetttling images - great art. Makes Hirsty & co. look like primary schoool scribblers. More

It doesn't take long to walk through the rouged domes of this architectually intriguing space. The first good thing is that the museum is free. But still better than that is the collection of paintings from Paula Rego, one of the most important Portuguese painter. Finally, the best thing to do is to visit the magnificient city of Cascais. More

The interior is ok, with a nice cafeteria, but the exhibition did not tingle my senses. I guess I do not appreciate very much the painting style of Paula Rego. More

One of the best and well known Portuguese painters. The Museum itself was a project of Architect Souto Moura worth to see and admire. More
