The young and vibrant guides and scholars who lead our tours are not part-time artists, students or actors who memorize scripts, or offer free tours to large groups who drop-in without advance reservations. We carefully choose historians who are talented at speaking on Lisbon’s treasures, and the amazing stories beneath them. After each tour our staff is available to assist with free city maps, additional sights to see, and restaurant or shopping suggestions. We look forward to bringing Lisbon alive for you in truly amazing, historic and relevant detail. « less

The mere fact that our Lisbon tour with Paolo was one of our top 3 highlights of a 15 day cruise on the magnificent Queen Victoria tells you how much it stood out for us. Paolo was amazing - we can see why he was so highly recommended by so many on this website. He was incredibly knowledgeable - and... More

I took a private tour with a friend, we were interested in a tour, however based on our travel schedule, we were not going to make it in time for the morning group. Paolo gave us an interesting overview of the city, tailored to our requests, and he spent way more time than we even had booked, which we appreciated.... More

We had a great time with Paulo. Aside from the food and wine tastings, Paulo was very knowledgable and gave us great insider tips for our stay in Lisbon. Would recommend it anyone. More

This was my first walking tour in a European city, and I truly enjoyed it! Paolo was our guide, and is extremely knowledgeable in Lisbon history, as well as Lisbon today. He brought us to all of the sites, but we dropped into a few places that weren't on the usual tourist trails, and it really made the tour very... More

My wife and I consider ourselves to be world travelers. We go somewhere new in Europe every year on vacation without the kids and have been doing this for 15 years. We always do “tours” when we arrive in a new city to learn about the history, the culture, etc. We also love Tripadvisor so we can quickly figure out... More

Great sophisticated knowledge about the (Jewish) historie of Portugal. Paolo is great to listen to knows about the different historical opinions of given facts, and knows how to bring this across, how to step into a timeconverter and to understand and feel what was happening centuries back More

Paolo brings Lisbon to life! His passion and enthusiasm for the city is infectious and even if you're one of those people who aren't particularly partial to tours (private or group), when you're with Paolo you feel like you're experiencing the city with an old friend. Not only is he incredibly knowledgeable, but he's charming, attentive, easy to listen to... More

What Paolo doesn't know about Lisboa is not worth knowing. He talks with such passion and enthusiasm, oozes historical and cutural facts and figures in an accessible and interesting manner, that he added a completely different dimension to our trip - one that would not have been possible with only a copy of the Lonely Planet to rely upon. He... More

We had a great time with Paolo. His vast knowledge of Lisbon and history in general is very impressive. And even though it´s a none stop history class, he keeps it very fresh and you never lose interest in what he´s talking about. I highly recommend you use Paolo as your guide if you ever visit Lisbon. Thanks again for... More
