i would have rated this 'good' but as there is no such category, it gets an average. when we first got to lisbon, there was a long queue for this structure in the evening. couldn't really understand why it took so long as there were large elevators and not just one, but i think two of them. perhaps people wanted... A very amazing structure, full of torists... In order to avoid waiting for looong lines, you may visit early in the morning. I and my wife were there at 9 am and there were very few people in the elevator. I would strongly recommend you to get a daily pass at any metro station which costs only 5€ and is... More

We foolishly waited on a very long line to take this elevator, only to find out that what used to be free now costs 5 euro per person to take a 30 second elevator ride. Because there were no signs clearly indicating this, we wasted time on line and were among many tourists who angrily left upon learning of this... More

Amazing structure, designed and built because Lisbon is very hilly. Disused now, but in three days, there were always people looking at it as I passed. More

We had to wait 20 minutes and then be carried up to the viewing deck in a lift car that was clearly load-limited. Frankly not a high point in the visit (not a pun), but the views are good and instant access to the Barrio Alto was handy. More

We rode the elevator twice (up and then down) while using our Carris one day pass. The elevator ride itself isn't the highlight -- rather, it's the experience of traveling up to see the amazing views. The queue didn't look very long (maybe 20 people), but the elevators don't seem to operate on a schedule, so we waited nearly 20... More

A fascinating piece of engineering and lovely to look at. Although two lifts run together, they are a bit slow to wait for and are a bit expensive for the distance covered. More
