Been at Lux last Friday (31-Jul-2009).. for me a club without any vibe or any special characteristic worth remembering. Average music, club was like 1/3 full at around 1.00am with atmospehere closest to a large McDonalds. Entry was €10 per pax. Urban beach, Bairro alto being much better options to hang out at night. more

I am absoltuely astonished by thr door policy in this place. we queued for an hour and then were told that it would cost us 240 euro each to get in just because we were english - they charges 12 euso for portuguese.. they let everyone else in. i hope someone from this establishment contacts us to apologise. will update... more

I sat in rain for 15 minutes to get into this place and when the bouncers "sized up" that we were English speakers they told us that it was 150 Pounds to get in. Everyone in front of us got in no problem - and these were about 80 percent men who were not with girls and didn't look like... more

Yes, they are very selective.....And yes, they dont like british people BUT just because every british guy who stand at the door is so drunk that they cant even speak whatsoever....or the girls are overdressed with their mini-skirt and those little tops....Forget about that girls.... Just back from a group trip to Lisbon. Paid for a cab (mad drivers) to Lux club as we had heard so much about it but was told we had to pay 203euros to get in as we were not on a guest list. Bouncers were rude!!!! Don't bother with it... Clearly do not like the English. more

Yeah, it's true that when we went there the last saturday night, we saw that we should pay 180€. Fortunatelly, the doorkeeper told us we only should pay 12€ per person. I agree, they certainly dont like the Brits. I came here in April with a bunch of my girlfriends. We were dressed up to the nines, were not drunk and were there just as the doors were opening. A small group of us (three) tried to get in here and they wanted to charge us 180 Euros each. Basically they don't like English people so if you are English its best to avoid this club...and probably Lisbon! more
