It is a modern building located immediately across the road from the Monastery of San Jeronimo, facing the park Imperio. The restaurant on the first floor is a good place to have lunch if you want something more refined than a cafeteria. But the real treat is the Berardo Collection of modern Art housed in the Museum on the upper... More

A good place to visit for half a day or so. Interesting monastery and Tower. Difficult to get to though from Cais do Sodre as the tram is full by then, so get a tram from town or use the buses to Restelo. Beware of pickpockets on the transport as they use the fact that they are usually jam-packed to... More

We caught the hop on hop off bus from the pier which took us all the way to Belem. Our three year old wasn't all that impressed but if you enjoy architecture & history, it is worth seeing the Tower of Belem, Geronimo's Monastery & the Explorer's Monument. We got some great photos. From the Tower you can also see... More

Beautiful "Manuelin" portuguese architecture from the 16th century. Maybe the most beautiful prison in the world! More

Great place to stroll around, by the river, easy access to some "must see" places, like Mosteiro dos Jerónimos and Torre de Belém or CCB. Rent a bike or a segway, eat an ice cream and don't miss the Museum of electricity! More

View of the harbor. There are museums to visit and the Jeronimos Monastery and the tower to visit. Prepare to walk between sites. There also a great resturant behind the cafeteria near the boatyard. More
