My friends and I spent a day at Cascais and we loved it. Very charming area, fine sand, nice beaches, plenty of restaurants. It's pleasant to walk along the beaches and have a drink on a terrace. I would definitely return to spend more time.

Cascais is almost an extension of Lisbon suburbs. It is a very pleasant town though with a delightful old town - cobbled narrow streets etc. There are three beaches though we are not beach people so can only say they look nice. The town beach is close to the fisherman's wharf so probably not the best for swimming in. Visit...

Take the Grey bus orange line (hop on/hop off) to Cascais. It's a great place to spend the day. Bring a swimsuit - plenty of spots to hang out at the beach. Also millions of places to eat and shop. Definitly don't miss it.

This is a lovely town with resort attached and you can get the train from Lisbon. Could not add the trip to my Via Viagem card as 5E only does the city area but it was not a lot more and well worth the effort. The station is right in the centre of the town and the shops bars and...

Anyone staying in Lisbon would be well advised to hop on the train for the 20-minute ride to this picturesque beach town west of the city, right on the Atlantic Ocean. The sand is fine, the beaches aren't crowded, and the water is crystal clear. Don't miss the restaurant Mar do Inferno for the freshest seafood and best views of...

lovely little seaside town. A small sandy cove where we spent a few hours then walked around the ususal tourist shops. Has an exclusive up market feel to it, with a pretty yaught marina.

Eat your garlic mussels and barbequed sardines - and enjoy the lovely scenery!

A lot of Irish Pubs around (nothing against Irish Pubs, but in Portugal I need something else) , not much to see, very disappointing Boca do Inferno (calm see, everything I could see was a hole in the stone)

Nice open promenade, beautiful beach, several very upscale resorts, just a great feel!
