A highlight is to walk around the entire wall of the town. You get incredible views of the town and the surrounding area. I love that it is free to walk along the wall! There are some very steep areas and no railings on the inside so it could be scary with small children and for people who are afraid... More

Nice azulejos at the entrance of the village, otherwise a pretty commercialized tourist attraction. Skip it, unless you are too bored and need to kill time :) More

There was no stopping myself, every single turn of the walk along the city walls revealed such a perfect view, and every twist of the little stone alleys was so adorably lovely, that I had no camera batteries left for Lisbon. It is definitely worth a day in Obidos. More

You have to go at once to this wonderful village and try the local liquor 'Ginga' which is made of cherries and of course the breath taking view is amazing More

the village is kept the way it was centuries ago: the houses are still painted whit whitewash with blue or yellow lines (no other color is authorise, to keep the houses looking authentic), there's a park outside the castle walls where you can see dears and the landscape where a lagun use to be, you can also sleep in the... can get very touristy, and loose its authentic feel. Shops and resturant are a bit on automatic cash register, but it is an extremely beautiful place. More

This enclosed town is a national monument and the cobbled streets in this medieval village makes for a delight way to spend a morning or afternoon.
