It's set among extensive pine forests and undulating dunes, with spectacular views over the Atlantic and the Berlengas Islands beyond.The 18-hole golf course was designed by the renowned American golf architect Cabell B.Robinson and was inaugurated on 14th June 1997. Deep bunkers, sloping greens and sandy dunes contrast sharply with the lush fairways, making it the complete golfing challenge.Praia D'El Rey is rated amongst the top golf courses in Europe by Golf World Magazine and is one of Portugal's major golfing destinations for both private and sponsored events.The course is a mixture of seaside links and parkland holes with a par of 73, offering the golfer a unique experience. Players are required to have a valid golf handicap certificate. Minimum handicap requirements are men 36, ladies 36.Enjoy your game!

“Enjoyable with some interesting holes”

Played twice and started at the 1st hole. Unfortunately by the time we got to the 10th, there was a huge queue (this is also a start point) and we were held up quite substantially on both occasions. Enjoyed the course though. More

“Spectacular Golf Course”

These golf course is my favourite - atlantic views for almost 3/4 of the course. It provides all year around golf because of its proximity to the atlantic so that is a major plus. “Great golf”

Great golf course. Combination of seaside and park-course. Played the course in March 2012. The greens were a little bumpy, but superfast. Great fairways. The course requires some pretty accurate golf, with large trees surrounding several holes. Some of the holes are links style, close to the Atlantic oceans, with quite a lot of wind. “Decent golf course, bad climate”

Decent golf course, a little overcrowded, especially with beginner players. Easy to play, no big surprises and a few very nice holes. All together a nice course, be be careful, it is cold all year round, including August which was a big surprise. More

Played a round with the wife on a sunny day in November. Very nice golf course, just challenging enough for middle to high handicappers, maybe not so challenging for the really good players. We stayed in a rented apartments in this golf resort, pool just outside. Barbeques on the patio. We paid for day passes to the Marriott hotel and used the pool and other facilities- pure luxury.
