A truly memorable experience. We walked up from Sintra through a well defined path. It took about 40 mins of huffing and puffing but was well worth it. Much better experience and more rewarding than getting the tourist bus there. It's perched on top od a massive hill overlooking Sintra and the surrounding area. I suffer from vertigo so avoided... more

Definitely one of my favourite visits. Sintra is an amazing place - we were there for three days and we still didn't see everything. Moors' Castle was amazing and I will never forget it. The walk through bush was lovely and the views amazing. I thought it was far more beautiful than any other castles we have seen in Europe... more

Sintra was one of the highlights of my visit to Portugal, and the Castelo dos Mouros was the best part of Sintra.
