We stopped here as part of our Strawberry World tour of the West. The views are terrific over the Island but it was very crowded, and with many stalls selling 'tat'. I think my poor wife spent most of the time here queueing for the toilet. I would imagine that you would appreciate the cliffs better from the sea. more

Cabo Girao on the South Coast of Madeira is the world's second highest sea cliff at around 500m. The views down to the sea from the top are heart-stopping, together with an amazing panorama along the coast of Madeira stretching as far as the eye can see.
