There's a lot of walking trails through the Geres National Park, some of them very well signalised. On October 2008, my wife and I, did this one: the Geira Romana, between mile XXXIV and mile XXXII. Two miles (3,2 kms), between Portela do Homem (better to enter through Spain border) and some point before the Dam of Vilarinho das Furnas.... more
