Unfortunately this cathedral is stuck in the middle of town surrounded by lots of buildings as tall as the cathedral itself. You can't get a god view of the entire building. Inside you find the typical golden adornments you see in Iberia including New World gold. More

I visited the cathedral Easter weekend so everything was decked out in preparation for the holiday. I did only the free portion of the tour, but seeing the courtyard and relics inside made it worth a visit anyway. The cathedral is of great historical importance and was probably the most interesting of the many that I visited on my trip... More

The Cathedral in Braga is the oldest one in Portugal dating from the 11th century. Built in the Manueline and baroque styles, this cathedral has great art and treasury hidden inside. There are twin organs that are just magnificent. There is a little museum with jewels like the sculpture of Nossa Senhora do Leite (the Virgin breastfeeding the child) made... More

The oldest monument in Oporto Cathedral and the Cathedral, comes from the twelfth century after the election of Bishop Hugo, Archdeacon of the Cathedral of Compostela. It was there that in 1120 the Queen D ª Teresa donated the village and its respective Portucalense couto from which he said the cathedral. More

Only a guided tour takes you to the most interesting parts : choir-stalls and organs in the elevated choir above the west entrance. The entrance to the Sé itself is free, for the guided tours you have to pay. More

This is one of the most important and odest buildings is Portugal. We even have a popular saying : "As old as Braga Cathedral (Sé de Braga)". The Cathedral was sarted in 1071. I recommend you to take a slow visit around and inside the cathedral, visit the treasure and the museum. You will be amazed with all the history... More

Braga is a great city and the Se is a wonderful cathedral. It is old, huge, and marvelous to visit. If you are a student of architecture at all just notice the different styles in the building. The Se is only a short walk from the main plaza in the center of the city and there are other interesting buildings... More
