Bom Jesus is just outside of the city of Braga which is one of the larger cities in Portugal. But it is also on the very top of a rather high hill. That makes it a bit inaccessible to some but a great view when you get there. We had a rental car and drove up and then walked all... more

We took a taxi from Braga to Bom Jesus ( the Mount of Jesus)on Sunday afternoon. It is a fabulous mountian retreat with of course a magnificant Church, picnic areas, beautiful gardens, a pond to boat on and more. Also we were there in July, and it was at least 15 degrees cooler then the city. The locals bring picnics... more

Mark & Linda, Cincinnati, Ohio and Gouveia Portugal. We visited the church and grounds on our last trip to Portugal. The veiw of the city below was great.
