the grounds and gardens below are very nice, the palace itself was nondescript. The schoolchildren on a field-trip littered the areas they visited, their disrespect was deplorable.

Strolling through the Jardim do Palacio de Cristal on a sunny afternoon, flowering trees, peacocks and chickens/roosters adding color was a pleasant respite after exploring the city life of Porto. Speaking of the Crystal Palace is always an input port of the past and remember their origins, since its original construction was not, nor is related to the current utility.

Palacio de Cristal is an amazing place if you pretend to spend a good evening walking and seeing the views to Douro River. It has an amazing green area where you can relax while enjoying nature life inside the city center.

Palácio de cristal was home to expositions and sports activities! Nowadays it's being discussed its future. You can walk through the gardens and lakes with ducks and peacocks. Perhaps one of the most romantic spots in Porto!

Explore the different walkways to find great views of the Douro river and its surroundings. A snack-bar and restrooms are available on the premises. You can see beautiful peacocks wandering around this park just inches from you.

The Palacio de Cristal itself has nothing interesting about it. What it's really worth is wondering around the Palacio de Cristal gardens. Beautifull landscapes and excellent views of the city of Porto and Gaia.
