Bring some water and some walking shoes. The marble steps around the Acropolis were quite slick in the sunshine, so try to avoid climbing in any kind of rain. The structures and views all the way up make the climb well worth it.

We went in late april so the crowd was not pad. I will advise that you get there early in the morning before the tour buses arrive, Acropolis ticket let you visit a number of other sites. Take advantage of it.

You must climb the Acropolis on a visit to Athens. The only drawback is the lack of accessibility for mobility-impaired. This truly one of the wonders of the world.

we went to the Acropolis first and the museum second. it might be better to do it the other way around, but going earlier in the day is much better than later as the crowds really flood in.
