This is a beautiful museum not far from the Presidential Palace and numerous embassies in the affluent Kolonaki area. Nice, friendly staff welcome you. This privately owned contains a great number of major finds from the islands. The displays are beautiful and the air conditioning a plus to keep up your attention. For children and adults there is a stunning... More

Very beautiful and modern building with great exhibits. The 7 euros for the entry of a lot but it's worth the visit.

In my opinion, not a "must". Especially if you visited the Archeological Museum, where you see quite a number of Cycladic, Minoic, pieces. For me the most interesting part was the 4th floor which described in some way the life in ancient Greece.

Loved the top floor where Life in ancient Athens was displayed, museum is not too big, but plenty of interesting displays to see. Tickets for EU students was 3,50. A little far from the Parliament on a side street.

If you are visiting Athens till May 8th, do not miss out on the special exhibition on Princesses and powerful women of the aniquity. You can ask for the uided tour, it is so much worth it as the archeologist will emphatically explain amazing details.

Don't miss this exhibit of art that inspired Picasso and many others but was crafted millenia ago in the islands known as the Cyclades by artisans who believed that less is more.

This is a lovely museum - a great collection, beautifully presented, and clearly explained. The staff are excellent too - very friendly and helpful. It's only a few minutes walk from Syntagma, so it's very easy to get to.

Cycladic Art is in all the most beautiful jewelry that any woman might desire today --and would probably find among the good shops of downtown Athens... Just go to this most sophisticated museum with frequent special exhibits in the Kolonaki area that tourists appreciate, close to art galleries and right at the center. the cafe is also attractive.

The Museum of Cycladic Art (www.cycladic.gr) is a unique Greek Museum as it shows: 1. The legendary figurines (between 3000 and 1500 years BC) that is the world known marble statues found all over the Cyclades complex of islands in the Aegean sea. 2. In detail how sculpture, pottery, glass forming was done in the Historical ages in the Greek... More
