I saw Gazi as the symbol of Athens finally gaining ground on the scene of the trendiest European cities. It's not just about the impressive numbers of restaurants and bars, but the whole picture made of people, art galleries, innovative design, street forniture, trendy condominiums and much more in a continuous "work in progress" feeling; what makes it really special... more

A Greek friend took me last Saturday to Gazi. It took some time to find parking, and it does requre some walking around, but this place is SO ALIVE at night, with all the café's, clubs, restaurants, people. We ended up in gazArte club/lounge/gallery/concert venue, packed with people, with live performance of Eleftheria Arvanitaki (rem. Athens 2004 Olympics closing ceremony).... more

Gazi is an isolated district in Athens. I had seen it on the Travel Channel and thought it looked like a nice place to go. Boy, was I wrong!!!! The only thing to see in Gazi was rundown warehouses, hundreds of stray dogs chasing cars, and a walk along a highway to get there. I only went to go to... more
