Hi fellows... I was in a cruise and since the sightseeing bus stop was right at the entrance of the Piraeus port, we thought it was a good idea to use this transportation to get to Acropolis and Plaka since in cruises you have very little time in each port. It was not a bad idea at all... the problem... More

The Athens sightseeing bus is a great way to take in all the main sites of Athens and good value for money. A ticket costs 18 euros for a two day bus pass and allows you to jump on and off as much as you like to take in the sights you are most interested in. The buses ran a... More

Took the yellow bus city tour including pireaus. If you take this tour, remember the leaflet for Athens guide and get the discount of 2 euros each, but one voucher per person required so take one each. Earphones provided for tour guide in all languages, hop on and hop off at lots of stops. Try go on the bus tour... More

It is best to find out how close the sites are to your hotel before booking a bus tour. I was in the Efterpi hotel one block from the Acropolis but took a bus tour that had me waiting an hour while they picked up other passengers from other hotels. More

We made the mistake of paying €40 for 2 tickets for a ticket that was good for 24 hours, plus another day within the next 4. It also included a tour in Piraeus. First of all let me say there is absolutely nothing worth seeing in Pireaus. We used that portion as transportation to get to our boat taking us... More

We thought this was not worth the money. The area the bus covers can easily be walked - the bus map made it appear larger than it really is. The bus ran late, and one time didn't show up at all after we waited at our hotel stop for 30 minutes to take the bus into the Plakka in the... More

We loved the information given while touring around the historic sites via headphones in many different languages. We also used as a mode of transportation over a 2 day period. Excellent value if use for two days. Using at the start of your trip is helpful. More

We travel to Athens on July 2011 and used the Athens CitySightseeing bus for two days. The bus operates daily between 0900 until 2000. Each tour takes approximately 90 minutes. The buses run every 30 minutes. There is a commentary in some languages that traces the history and culture of Athens. Ae found it very useful. You can Hop On... More

Was The Parthenon worth it? You betcha. Go. Get your mug immortalized in front of the most perfect building ever built by The Ancients, check out the fantastic Museum at the foot of The Acropolis, then leave. I prefer societies that have their act together and keep everything clean. Athens is the opposite. On film it looks like Switzerland. In... More
