Multicultural Greece begins and pretty much ends here. The dedication of its founder is inspiring, and the history rich and tragic in equal measure.

Out of 85000 jews 65000 perished in the furnaces of various concentration camps.
This more than a museum is a legacy to their present. I have been to many Jewish museums and I wished they were visited by more gentiles.

What impresses me about this museum is the excellence of the concept. One comes away with an excellent idea of what the Jewish communities of Greece were like, without being crushed by the tragedy of their destruction. The museum has been important also as a cultural institution, helping to restore a sense of awareness of Jewish culture. One of my...

A compact but warm and beautiful Museum that surprises you on each and every step. Don't miss the touch screen with the multimedia pages about the Jewish History of the country.
Ideally located at the city center, just few blocks away from Syntagma square. Convenient to spend an hour during your walk from Syntagma to Plaka.
Along with a visit...

This museum is held in what appears to be a former home. It consists of four floors. The whole museum can easily be seen within an hour.

Housed in a plan buiding in the Plaka section of Athens we were so impressed by what we found in the museum. It chronicles that history of the Jews of Greece from ancient (B.C.) to the present day...
