This is open air theatre at its best. The 5,000-seat theatre built by Herodes Atticus as a memorial to his wife, AD 161it is just below the Acropolis. It is now used for the Athens summer festival of music and drama. I went to see an Opera in Italian. Had subtitles, in Greek! I didn't understand a word but it... more
