I absolutly loved this temple. I think that maybe in its hayday it may have been better that the parthenon just because of the shear size of it (and its now ruined columns). We visited the site in late September and thoroughly enjoyed it. Photographers will want to go early in the day to get nice shadows from the remaining columns plus get the distant Acropolis in good light. It's a barren site with a few trees on the border, so compositions depend on quality light. Going early also means fewer aimless folks... more

We went to the Temple of Olympian Zeus in May 2006. It is amazing, and definitley worth the time. The sheer size of the columns is amazing.
