The view from the top is stunning and well worth the trek especially for sunset. The tram up is not worth it in my opinion unless you have mobility difficulties. There is a cost for the tram. The walk up the stairs to the top is not too difficult and will only take about 15-30 minutes despite what taxi drivers... More

When we visited on 19th May, 2012, our taxi driver left us somewhere very close to this site. So, we needed to climb few steps to reach the top. As written elsewhere here, there is nothing there on the top except a coffee shop and a small church. It was a very clear day and the views around the places... More

Take the teleferik to the top and walk down, a beautiful chapel on the top, spectacular views of Athens all the way to Pireaus. Try a sunset dinner at the excellent restaurant at the top. More

You can go there using funicular. it gives a good view of the city of Athens and also acropolis. What i loved was eating the special Ice sitting on comfortable sofas while looking at the city of Athens. BTW just to warn you about the souvenir shop inside the funicular entrance area can charge you 15 euros even if the... More

The most obvious hill in Athens, you can see everything in all directions. There is a little church and a big cafe on the top, but we were not charmed. It may work better on a hot summer evening with lots of people. More

Likavitos can be covered as an attraction in central Athens. We were escorted by friends and parked on a parallel street and climbed a few pairs of stairs before getting to the Funicular Station. There was a small wait, as there was a wedding taking place at the Chapel of St. George on top of the hill. The train ride... More

We took the funicular as it was late in the day and we were exhausted from having climbed all over ancient ruins all day. The view as the sun sets and Athens lights up at night is spectacular. There is a lovely little church at the top of the mountain. Also a restaurant though we did not go there. Don't... More

The cable car is way way overrated. The restaurant on top is way too pricey. The church is awesome. Take a cab up or walk. More
