The National Garden (also known as King's Garden is in the heart of Athens, above Syntagma sq. There are many entrances (free, no entrance fees) such as from the right side of Parliament or from behind (the route that National Parliament Guards take when they change their Guard). We visited the National Gardens near Syntagma Square in late September and found them to be a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the downtown area. Photographers will find the walks with arches and the abundance of trees interesting. The park is visited by many locals, so lots of people are available to add interest to your shots.... more
