An interesting museum to visit for a couple of hours. There arent many big attractions but a bit of everything from the middle ages till recent history with a big part being from Greeces past. The museum would do with some renovation. Im planning a second visit on which i would like to spend a few more hours there and...

This museum has little information at all, let alone in English. It's only good if you already know what happened in Greek history, otherwise it's just a lot of swords on display. The bottom floor armoury is ok, but the displays on the 1st and 2nd floors have a lot of portraits, not many relics, and nothing to explain it...

Do not be put off by the initial costume based approach, if you take the time to make your way round the full building you will find it incredibly informative and very interesting with considerable educational benefit.
For those who enjoy a quiet browse you'll be pleased to hear that despite the ridiculously cheap two euro admission fee the place...
