The beach to the side of the town but still attached is lovely, white sand. The water is a little colder than the rest of the beach as the river feeds out to that part but still good. The beach is by the harbour

Lovely little village, nice sandy beach, had meal at nice hotel on front. Fishermans church in the sea.

We have recently returned from Crete we rented a converted farm house in a typical cretan village ( old men in Cafe's great cheap tavernas), but the best was the beach of Georgioupolis which was about a 5 min drive away.
Georgioupolis beach has crips white sand , gently shelving to clear water, there was lots of sand dunes set...
