Clearly an important site, but I wonder about the reconstructions and interpretations. Beautiful site, shame about the restoration... it spoils it and makes it look like a theme park :-( More

Darn the 19th century efforts at "preservation." So much of Knossos has been "restored" it feels more like a theme park than actual authentic ruins. The setting, however, is lovely, and it was a nice, easy trip outside of the city. More
