Since I was a kid I loved to read books about World War II. So naturally I was very optimistic to see this museum. What did I found? 1 medium-sized room, with some exponate - books, papers, a rifle or a gun from time to time, some pictures.. But the lack of things to see, or even general idea what...

Just around the corner from the Archaeological Museum in Heraklion this small Museum should be on your itinerary, just to learn a little of what happened to the Cretans who resisted the Germans when they occupied the island from 1941 to 1944. The Germans burnt villages and massacred civilians as punishment for their resistance. The Museum displays hundreds of photographs...
