Not very well signposted. Road looks like going nowhere. Then you start to climb. Make sure you take water. Views lovely, well kept cemetry and history to read More

A quiet place, set on a hill. Beautifully kept as you would expect. Not a place to visit for those people with walking difficulties, although there are seats placed out of the sun to rest as you walk up to a flat area. Worth a visit. More

Well kept cemetary, little cafe, no change to enter. Great views from right up at back of it. English translated information about war events, battles, and loss of life of army. More

So quiet, just the opposite to what happened here in the second world war. More

A sad reminder of the human cost of war mirrored by the Commenwealth cemetery at Souda. All very young men, we call them 'World Wars' but in reality they were European civil wars fought at great cost in blood and treasure. Excellent views from the top of the old air strip and Tavronitis Bridge More

The cemetry was very well kept. Not good if you have trouble climbing stairs. The cemetry is right up at the top a hill, with a few steps to climb. More

Interesting trip if you find yourself in Maleme with some spare time. Some information provided before you go up to the cemetery on the world wars and the Greek involvment. Very well kept and quite understated with lovely flowers etc. We were staying in the area and decided to take a stroll up to the graveyard for a bit of... More

Well worth a visit whatever your nationality if only to remind ourselves how many lives were sacrificed in WW2 on both sides. So many of the 4000+ dead were aged 18-21. What a waste. The cemetery is a very peaceful place, very well maintained, with a museum attached with some interesting artefacts, information about the Battle of Crete and very... More
