This is the kind of beaches I was looking in Greece. Turquoise water, white soft sand, isolated... a small paradise More

A must if you are on Naxos, this beach is lovely and the sea is crystal clear, a lot quieter than the town beach. It's very accessable by bus which runs every hour all day until quite late. More

This is a long beautiful unspoiled beach. The sand is fine and the water is warm, easily accessible by bus. More

We went on a Saturday, and Plaka beach was virtually empty. The first road down to it from Chora is difficult; the approach from Mikri Vigla is easier. The only naked people were middle-aged Scandinavians. The end close to Vigla has better sand in the water, while the other end is a little rocky. More

This beach have it all. Nudists in one end, tavernas, camping, hotels, sunbeds in the middle, and undeveloped and "wild" further ahead. Clear water and nice sand. More

Plaka used to be our favourite beach in Greece, however it is has become more and more developed over the last few years which is gradually making the beach less desirable and tranquil. Each year we go along, there appears to be another set of sunbeds set up (usually where the sand is best), and another watersports centre, with a... More

Plaka beach was one of our favorite beaches on our trip to the islands last September. We took the bus from Hora to the end of the line, and spent our days on the beach there. The views were great, beach was clean, umbrellas/chairs were cheap (5 Euro?), no crowds, some nudists, no kids. The tavern at the end of... More

Swimming among the giant sea turtles, in the most beautiful waters in the Cyclades, Plaka Beach has become my paradise. Each year, from the middle of August to mid-September, I bask in the sun and enjoy this pristine beach. I come in need of a rejuvinating my broken body, and return home a new man. Yet, and more importantantly, is... More

Spent 9 days in Naxos in July and much of that at the beach at Plaka. This was the best swimming beach I have been on with little tide or current and very clear water. The beach can be a little crowded in some areas, and other areas quiet. People seem to wear what they want to (or don't want... More
