I really loved this beach, the sand is not so thin so it does not stick to the sunscreen, the water is so clean that you can see your toes, I trully enjoy every moment we spent there. Avoid saint George beach as is crowded and not so peaceful

Of course there are tons of nicer beaches in Naxos, but if you want to see nice looking people, and have a bite to eat just a few meters away, you should check this out as it is not that far from Hora. Rent a scooter then go on and check Plaka, Pyrgaki, and the other beaches...

I've been to Prokopios beach in August. It was packed of people & there was a funny smell of the nearby dried up lakes which was ennoying me after a couple of hours. If you like a busy beach than this is the place to be. If you like more quiet areas then this is not the place to be.

This beach is one of my favourites. Not sand but tiny pebbles that tend not to stick to you like sand does. You can tan all-over here, there is also an old fellow selling fresh doughnuts. His English isn't perfect, when I asked him which doughnuts they were, he replied "The sun destroys my marmalade!"
