FIRST: DRESS PROPERLY...no shorts, no tank tops. I visited the place is September. The most impressive was it's museum which held incredible written manuscripts dating back to the beginning of Christianity and also some costumes dating way back. A breathtaking location in the main town of Patmos. It's a long walk uphill from the harbour of Skala - motorised transport is recommended - and there are some steep steps at the entrance.
