Love this! We kind of wished there was one day without all the hustle and bustle of shops and bouncers, to just see the houses, the views and feel the athmosphere, but it is very well kept and beautiful - well worth a stroll! Get a map (you can get them for free or buy a detailed one) and "get... More

Old Town Rhodes is a wonderfully preserved walled medieval city. Do your own walking tour around town and get "lost" in the narrow streets and squares. Wear comfortable walking shoes as the streets are cobblestones standing on end! We walked down the Street of the Knights (lined with houses of the Knights) to the Palace of the Grand Master (a... I loved Rhodes old town, there is so much to see and the architecture is beautiful. The mosque is stunning and the views from the bell tower are awesome. Definitely want to return! More

As you walk through houndred of small shops selling trash, sometimes you find some really good ones. We found Themis M. Zairis, Leather goods in 96, Socratous Street. Here we found some really bargains on leather goods, real leather purses of high quality. Recommended! Be ware that it is packed with people in the streets, and that there is a... More

Wonderful medeival architecture and you could almost see the Knights riding down the narrow streets but beware that everything inside the Old Town is more expensive than in the New Town outside the walls. More

Whilst on my recent holiday to Icmeler Turkey I took a day trip on the high speed catamaran to Rhodes Town Greece. The journey takes about an hour and sails from Marmaris. Rhodes is a beautiful town and there is so much to see. The Walled Old town and the Palace of The Grand Masters is well worth seeing and is... More

We entered via the moat, this was very peaceful, we only saw a few other people here. On entering the walled city, there were quite a few more people, I can imagine this is quite unbearable in the summer when I am sure there are a lot more people cramming in. There were a few people pestering you to come... More

lived in rhodes for 3 months. the ancient old town is well preserved. very touristy, and open all year round. no enterance fee, as it is a living city. walking the walls or the 'moat' is a real pleasure. you will see where the turks broke the defences to get in. the masters museum is fake and totally rebuilt for...
