Unfortunately the sculptures weren't open due to a lack of staff. This museum does have an incredible collection of funerary artifacts. Well worth a visit.

I very much wanted to see this important collection, but more than half is closed... NOT temporarily, but permanently. They could care less. Ok museum - lots to see - the displays could do with updating though, and the translations weren't always very accurate.

This museum was free of the usual graffiti . It's clean and easy to access. Impressive jewelry pieces to see. Jewish history was also interesting.

One of the most famous museums in the world. Most of the time the exhibits travel out of Greece for propaganda purposes. But still it will give you an idea of the Greek grandeur of the ancient times.

It has some amazing findings from archeological sites in the Macedonia region. In addition to Greek ther is information in English too for us tourists.

Very interesting but you have to visit Vergina too, less than an hour far from Thessaloniki to experience the glory of ancient Macedonian years ...
