This is very much like the Agora in Athens and it's fun to walk around. You can see the platform from which Paul addressed the Corinthians. The baths are particularly interesting, but the theatre and Odeon across the parking lot are unremarkable, especially if you plan to visit Epidavros. Be prepared for hordes of tourists in buses on day trips... More

We had a driver, but not a formal guide. I think we missed out. However, the place is amazing. So much has happened there. It is a grat place to medidate on biblical events. It is strange that it is so close to town. Ancient wall . . . tract home. More

We combined Ancient Corinth with Mycenae, canal, and Epidaurus. Very accessible site - we did wish we had a better description or walking guide to better understand what we were seeing. Beautiful city - it must have been something in it's day. the cost was $8/ea and we had it to ourselves for the duration of our visit. More

A great site to wander through when you're in Corinth. The Museum has great ancient art works and the ruins are significant. More

I want to begin my review by answering a question I had before going there. From the research I had done, it was hard to tell what the distinction was between the site of the Temple of Apollo, Ancient Corinth, and Acrocorinth. It was also hard to tell whether the Corinth Canal was on the way to the ruins or... More

We visited the site on a Saturday in late September and as we had read, this and many other sites had free entry on a number of days in the period. Although the Greek official website says that winter hours operate from 1 November, they were already in operation here and for Acrocorinth so the sites closed at 3pm. There... More

Visited here after visiting the Acropolis. While the ruins are in much poorer shape than the Acropolis and not nearly as incredible, they are much more accessible, too. We practically had the site to ourselves and so it was much easier to get into the spirit of Corinth. The setting is magnificent at the base of an awesome mountain and... More

Located at a strategic position between the Saronic and Corinthian gulfs, Ancient Corinth was the sixth archeological site we visited in five days and therefore some aspects of it to be honest were a little routine. That aside, there is enough to keep the casual visitor interested here for an hour or two. Entrance is by the museum, and although... More

Not congested, fairly intact ruins that allow you to fully grasp the magnitude of a city designed and built without today's technology. You can almost imagine yourself amidst the bustle of the market. There is an active archeological dig across the street in the proximity of the amphitheater that served to make me appreciate what could be lurking beneath the... More
