You could only see the house, that looked like any other old house from outside, and it's in pretty bad shape, only recommended if you are into Hans Christian Andersen More

I was expecting much more. For me the only interesting thing was the library with the collection of H.C. Andersen books translated in any language that you can imagine. Apart of this... More

Unless you're into HC Andersen you won't see nothing else than a typical old town house from Odense. The statue at the river is really beautiful, though. More

... as a previous poster wrote, this is not the place most posters here seem to think it is. The Childhood Home is a tiny mini-museum of only two rooms that is in a very different location from the HCA Museum. That said, if you're really into HCA, it's an inexpensive must and the guardian is excellent and will tell... More

I visited the museum which has the small childhood home attached at the rear. The entire place, including little square and businesses around the area is delightful. The musueum is very complete and requires several hours to absorb the impact he had on literature, and shows the contrast of how the world he lived in changed during his lifetime. Many... More

This is not the H.C Andersen's museum the previous posters wrote about. This is a small house in which H.C. Andersen - my favorite authot lived & grew up, but he wasn't born here. It was an honor visiting the places of his childhood. The museum is very small, with very little to see, but is still great if you... More

Everything you could ever think of relating to Hans Christian Andersen is in this museum, from part of his childhood home to a massive library of books in any language you can think of. You can listen to the fairytales on headphones and find out all you need to know about his life. Resonable entrance fee and an interesting place... More

This Home/Museum is a very good place to spend 3-4 hours of your trip to Odense: it is dedicated to the writer H. C. Andersen in the most complete way. There is a good session in which Andersen's age is evoked and a very interesting path through all his unusual life. Moreover some suggestive rooms are about his success with... More
