This last must not be missed when you are in Aarhus. In the center of the city you find this old "city" of old histotic buildings. All the house come from all over Denmark and have been moved to Aarhus brig for brig. You can find a bakery, mayers house, shoemaker, mill and many other houses. It is a good... More

Compiled by different buildings and homes from all parts of Denmark, this place is like time-traveling through history. You will not regret a visit! Dressed in period clothing, guides will answer your questions and tell you about each buliding, or you can just enjoy the surroundings and have a beautiful lunch in a village setting! More

This is considered to be the top attraction in Aarhus. It is a village in central Aarhus made up of clusters of homes and public buildings from several periods of Danish history. There are also a small number of people dressed in period clothing and performing daily tasks. More

If you are in Aarhus you should visit this wonderful site - only 10 minutes walk from the centre of town. Many old historic buildings - homes, businesses, a water mill, tannery, hotel - have been removed from parts of Denmark to here in Aarhus where they have been reassembled and kept for posterity. They may otherwise have been demolished... More

Wonderful collection of historical Danish Community structures from Renaissance to modern (Did not know the 70's were historical!). Actual old buildings were hauled here and put to continued use, with demonstrations of period activities. Not replicas! More

Very cool little area totally dedicated to the old town. The displays inside the houses are pretty cool, but you only get to step inside and look from behind a glass curtain or roped area instead of really walking around. Kids seemed to have a blast that I saw when I was there, especially on the horse and cart ride... More

Very nice idea of Aarhus as a city: In the midst of town, a quarter filled with historic buildings brought here brick by brick from all over Denmark. Buildings have been given themes of which some represent the original use of the bulding, some not. In any case, authentic interior and frequently re-enactors working inside have been arranged. Take a... More

It is always nice to take a little walk in downtown, especially if it's in such a great collection of buildings from all over Denmark, which takes you back in history. So you can experience how it could feel to walk in a 13th century street, how people lived their every days in the old times, you can observe how... More
