A beautiful church, quite grand, with a magnificent dome both in and out. Many state events, now and in the past, have occurred here. Free to enter, and frequent organ recitals which really add to the atmosphere. The overall setting and ambience of the building is being improved, as part of the city wide metro extension, so the outside is... More

The Church is a Lutheran equivalent of the Roman Catholic style Cathedral but a little less grand and less ostentatious. In keeping with Lutheran teachings I guess. Still it is a nice example with the central circular main body of the church. Many icons were missing if present at any stage and the domed roof is quite nice, but still... More

This beautiful church across from the queens palace is a wonderful place to visit. It is called the "Marmor church" as it was originally planned to be constructed in marble. The inspiration was St. Peter's in Rome. Due to budget cuts, it was finished in limestone! Largest dome in Scandinavia and worth a visit. I was baptized there, don't recall... More

when you take a cruise on the canal, you can't miss it. The inside dome is all decorated, reminding me of San Pedro di Roma.I did not visit the Dome but it is possible at certain time of the day. More

A gorgeous church. It's small, but in a good way, meaning it's easy to tackle on a tourist visit and not overwhelming. The ceiling is in twelve segments and each decorated with one of the twelve apostles and is SERIOUSLY underrated. Souvenirs are available for a small donation. Unfortunately, maintenance was being done on the facade when I visited so... More

While strolling along the waterfront I stumbled upon this massive marble church that was absolutely gorgeous. It is free to enter and the marble interior is stunning. Definitely worth a visit! More

Just in the middle of Copenhagen city centre, you can easily visit there. But be aware , you should be silent all the time. In the middle of the church you may enjoy staring to the dome, that light is creating a nice ambiance. More

We stopped in on a whim as we were passing by. Based on the size of the dome, you would expect it to be much larger inside, but it's actually fairly small compared to most European churches. Definitely worth the half hour to hour of your time it takes to see it as the exterior architecture is impressive and the... More

The area the Church is located in is near the Royal Palaces and is lovely. You can go in and look around at the beautiful ceiling and tiled floors. More
