Especially enjoyed the visit having read Rose Tremain's novel about Christian IV, "Music and "Silence". Lots of wonderful treasures. More

Fascinating. Our guide was excellent in choosing the most interesting artifacts for our very brief visit. The treasury was stunning though I have nothing to compare it with! The gardens beautiful too on the lovely spring day that we visited. Be aware that large bags aren't permitted though there are lockers to put them in and if you want to... More

I really appreciated some of the finely inlaid tables with their exquisite designs. You will notice the portraits hung on the walls are very poor in quality as you start the tour but then they steadily increase in quality of the depiction of the subject as the tour progresses. As you go up the stairs you will see portraits of... More

What can I say? It's a well preserved castle, surrounded by a beautiful park, a lot of royal Danish history, interesting objects... the crown jewels were truely astonishing. Definitly worth visiting! For the fans: around 11:00-11:30 every morning, a military parade starts the track from Rosenborg Castle towards Amalienborg. More

When I bought our tickets I asked if I should put my rather large purse in a locker and was told there was no need. When we got to the entrance, a very nasty woman scolded me loudly and rudely for attempting to bring it in. I guess when you're the ticket-taker at a museum it can go to your... More

Visit to this castle gives you some insight into King Christian IV and his life. The castle is easy to get to and we enjoyed its "doable" size. More

The castle is beautiful surrounded by the King's Garden. The rooms and treasury were great to visit. The castle is right in the city centre and is worth a visit on a sunny day. The scenery around is refreshing. More

A great castle which used to belong to the Royal Family. Don't miss a walk at its garden! More

Purchase a Copenhagen Card when in Denmark. This was a facinanting Castle/museum. You will see the crown jewels as well. There is an extra fee if you wish to photo them. More
