Arken is my favourite art museum because it shows art that I like, but also because of its size - not too small not too large and not least because of its situation - when approaching the museum it looks like a stranded ship - and from the museum, especially, from the upstairs café there is the most wonderful view... Great exhibition with Warhol and Basquiat and great architecture. But the permanent exhibitions did not please me. More

Like a great deal of things Danish it is done beautifully with a sense of sensuality and style combined. It is modern but I felt embraced more so than other modern museums. I'm not sure what I mean exactly.... I felt that it was made for me to wander around. Not precious I suppose. They make those concrete walls feel... More

The permanent exhibitions are not worth a visit, but if they have a speical exhibit, then it might be worth a visit. I went to see Warhol & Basquiat, and it was great, I really love Basquiat, but it ends on january 12, 2012. More

This is one of my favorite museums! It's just the right size that you can catch the latest exhibtion have lunch and revisit you old favorites like Damian Hirsts glitter skull. The café serves good if somewhat expensive food and there is outdoor seating. The museum shop has a nice selection of things. You can reach the museum by public... More

If you have a free day and have done all of the main attractions in Copenhagen and closer surrounding areas this museum is a nice activity. The trip from copenhagen is approx 25 mins by train and walking to the museum is an easy well signed 15 or so mins. More

THE MUSEUM: the spectacular architecture of this museum already makes the trip to Arken worth it. The ship-shaped building houses an interesting collection of contemporary art (both Danish and international), focusing on paintings and installations with a soft spot for Damien Hirst's paintings. It also presents several temporary exhibitions of international relevance a year, of modern and/or contemporary art. The... More

Average museum of MODERN art located in Ishøj a small suburb to Copenhagen (about 30 min. from inner city) It's a okay museum, but I think you should only visit it if you are staying in CPH for many days, anyway. Or if you are very interested in very modern art or one of the special exhibition. In other words... More
