A wonderful part of Copenhagen - especially on a sunny day. Take a troll along the canal on your way to the Opera or Christiania. Maybe have a bite to eat at the smoerrebroed restaurant on the corner of Strandgade and Torvegade, Christian IV, named after the king who founded Christianshavn.

Nice place, but i bit overcrowded with tourists.Lots of restaurants, but I think they are a bit overpriced.

It feels nice to walk along the canal in Christiania, is a very quite place and it feels you are far away from the noise of the city life.
Definitely a place to go when you want to have some quite time.

No need to explain why. This area was great, from the locals, to the food and beer. I think every town should have an area like this that is safe and well managed as this is. It is a credit to the people that live here!

Worth exploring and if you're en route to Christiania you will pass through this part of town. The area by the water is very scenic and lovely.
