This art museum has a fine,comprehensive collection of Danish paintings.Especially well-represented are the Danish painters associated with the late nineteenth and early twentieth Skagen Art Colony such as;P.S.Kroyer,Michael Ancher,Anna Ancher,Viggo Johansen,and Lauren Tuxen.Personal favorites were;Jorgen Roed's"Interior of Ribe Cathedral",P.S.Kroyer's"Summer Evening on Beach,Skagen",Anna Ancher's"Old People Plucking Gulls",and Vilhelm Hammershoi's"Winter in Sondermarken Park".Most museums in Copenhagen are closed on Monday.This special art... more
