It's an interesting plaza with some impressive buildings surrounding it. You're likely to be near here going to other attractions so take a look. I was there in early fall - there was a large art installation in the plaza. It's a crowded area since there is lots of shopping on the surrounding streets. more

I visited Kongens Nytorv in January when the square was turned into an open air ice rink. You can rent skates (as long as you give them a credit card or driving license for insurance, to guarantee you won't steal the skates - this is pretty standard so don't worry) and spend a few hours whirling around on the ice... more
