Copenhagen is a fairly expensive city but the canal tour was the best value for money experience. For 45 KR we sailed along the canals with a guide who spoke Danish, English and German and clearly explained everything as we went along. Try and get a seat by the window as otherwise your photos tend to included the people sitting...

The boat ride is a nice way to acquaint yourself with city. We took it twice and there was a big difference in the guides. Our guide the second time, Teresa, was excellent. We bought the Copenhagen card and I would recommend it if you are there for a few days.

What a great way to see the city! We thoroughly enjoyed ourself jumping on and off at our leisure to see things. Sadly it was a little cool so remember to rug up if the weather is not great. The tour guide was great so we learnt a few things about the city. Well worth doing.

And you can sit inside (under a covered roof that can be opened by your seat if you want) or outside. When you book, cehck to see what languages the tour will be done in....

Especially as ther is so much to see that you can walk everywhere it was nice to rest and be taken on a tour that shows this vibrant city from a different perspective. We got off in nyhavn and walked to the ameliaborg palace then had churros and ice cream whilst we waited for the next boat! Definitely better done...

We only had an eight hour layover in Copenhagen in April and wanted to make the most of it! We chose wisely by taking the canal tour! It was quite chilly and windy the morning we went and there were only a total of five customers on the boat. But there was some heat coming out of the heaters along...
